Feb 6 - May 7 - Aug 6 - Nov 5

TOURNAMENT ENTRY FEES INCREASE

At the May 7, 2024 Board meeting, it was decided to increase the entry fee for Club tournaments to $6, starting with the June 2024 tournaments

The increase of $1 in entry fees will reduce the annual deficit in running our tournaments (essentially reducing the amount the Club has to subsidize for each tournament)

The new $6 entry fee will continue to be collected as present:  Home tournament entry fees will be deducted from your Play & Pay balance and Away entry fees will be included in the tournament cost.
Prizes paid will remain as presently done

New Home Tournament Rules

1.  Tee selection for Home tournaments
Members can select to play from their tee of choice for all Home tournaments except for the Club Championship tournament in September.  In the Club Championship tournament, the Club Champion (Low Gross) competitors must play from the White Tees while the Net Champion (Low Net) can play from any tee that he chooses.  The same tee must be used for both rounds.

2.  Eligibility for Club Champion
In order to be eligible to compete for the Club Champion and Net Champion award, a member must have played in at least 6 club tournaments during the calendar year up to the date of the first round of the Club Championship tournament.  This number may be adjusted to account for tournaments cancelled for rain

MEMBER HANDICAP INDEX (H.I.)

The latest Members' Handicap Indices from the World Handicap System
HDCP INDEX - JUNE

WORLD HANDICAP SYSTEM

Player's Handicap Index now follows the new World Handicap System.  This allow players to play on courses around the world using their handicap index and play with people from other countries using the same handicap system

POSTING YOUR SCORES
Post your scores as usual at the course or through the Internet (use My NCGA app or the NCGA.com website).  The maximum hole score for handicap purposes (for posting your score) will be limited to Net Double Bogey (Par + 2 + any handicap strokes you receive on that hole)
Do not post your HOME nor AWAY tournament scores.  The SSSGC Tournament Director will post all HOME and AWAY scores

YOUR HANDICAP INDEX
1.   The Handicap Index (H.I.) calculation will be based off your 8 best scores out of the past 20

2.  Your Handicap Index (H.I.) will be updated the day after you post a score (Daily if you play every day)

YOUR PLAYING HANDICAP
You will have a Playing Handicap.  The Slope Rating, Course Rating and Par will be used to determine your Playing Handicap, allowing players to compete from different tees more easily
