22nd Annual Assoc. Club Net Amateur Championship
Sept 10, 2015 Carl Cada, Terry Selsor, Phil Simons and Paul Goodwin represented SSSGC in the NCGA Associate Club Individual Championship qualifier at Poppy Ridge (Zinfandel-Merlot courses) on Sept 10. Only 16 of 52 players qualified for the championship round in their section where the cutoff was a -2 score. Carl Cada just missed qualifying with an even par 72. Terry Selsor and Phil Simon also came close at +1 (73). Paul Goodwin, in his own words, managed to survive "a brutal day in the heat" with a decent +5 (77). 17th Annual Senior Four-Ball Net Championship
July 29, 2015 Wink Winkleman and Mike Haley represented SSSGC in the 17th Annual NCGA Senior Four-Ball Championship qualifier at Santa Clara GC on July 29. They shot a net 66 which placed them at 19 out of 40 teams. Overall, there were 428 teams trying to qualify at 14 different courses, with only 56 teams advancing to the championship round. Congratulations to Wink and Michael for representing SSSGC well in this NCGA tournament. |

33rd Annual Associate Club Championship
June 21, 2015 Bruce Fox, Teratum Lowchareonkul, Judd Smith and Phil Simons represented SSSGC at the NCGA Associate Club Championship (4-Man Best Two Balls of Four format) on June 18 at Monarch Bay GC. They shot a team score of 145 (+3). Thank you to Bruce, Teratum, Judd and Phil for representing SSSGC in this NCGA tournament. |
24th Annual Assoc. Club Four-Ball Net Championship
May 5, 2015 SSSGC entered Fred Belligan and Doug Ellsworth into the NCGA 2-Man/Better Ball tournament qualifier on May 28. They finished 14 out of 34 teams at Ridgemark GC with a net 68. Considering the competition was all ages, these guys represented the club very well. |
